About This Item

This unisex necklace captures the spirit of the American West with its genuine US coin pendant. The pendant features an Indian Head Penny minted from the 1800s, securely housed in a western-style bezel with green enamel details.

The necklace comes with a 24-inch chain with a 3-inch extender, made of steel rope. The chain closes with a lobster claw clasp, adding to the rugged look of the piece.

The Indian Head Penny, designed by James B. Longacre and minted from 1859 to 1909, is composed of copper. The design of the coin was inspired by either Longacre's daughter Sarah or the Greek statue Venus, with conflicting stories about the inspiration.

Originally minted only in Philadelphia, the Indian Head Penny production expanded to the San Francisco Mint in 1908. The coin is now over 100 years old, adding to its historical value.

This necklace comes in a white jewelry box and includes a Certificate of Authenticity, as well as a 1-year Manufacturer's Warranty. It is a unique piece that combines history, craftsmanship, and the spirit of the American West.
